ANC- Connector 12-15-06

December 15, 2006

My job for this week is a connector which I am suppose to connect events from the book with my life. When Mr. Furtz died it reminded me when my mom told me that her dad died when she was little and everyone was crying for him just like Mr. Furtz. I know a lot of people who can talk just as much as Beth Ann which for Mary Lou can be very annoying. Carl Ray’s chore is to make his bed, which me and a lot more people have to do every day. Both in the summer in the book and in my life I know two people who got new cars, my mom and Carl Ray. Also last year my family and Nicole’s family went to the disney cruise, while there we were playing bingo and my dad won the jackpot bingo which reminds me of when someone gave Carl Ray a lot of money.

ANC-Questions 12-11

December 11, 2006

1. Describe Beth Ann’s new behavior. How does Mary Lou feel about it?

Beth Ann’s new behavior is being obssesed about Derek (Beth Ann’s boyfriend) and she won’t think about anybody else but herself and Derek and she wants to hang out with him more than his friends. Mary Lou feels that Beth Ann is getting on her nerves and that she is annoying.

 2. How does Mary Lou react when Mr. Furtz dies?

Mary Lou reacts when she hears that Mr. Furtz dies that she feels really surprised and depressed because someone like Mr. Furtz usually wouldn’t die from a heart attack even though he has never been sick and he is usually healthy. SHe also wonders about Cathy, Barry, and Davis and how their mother is going to tell them the bad news.

ANC- Summarizer 12-8

December 8, 2006

So far in the book Carl Ray and Maggie are annoying Mary Lou. Maggie got home at 2 in the morning from her date and got in trouble. When she went to her room she was crying and threw her shoes to the floor and turned on the light while Mary Lou was sleeping and woke her up. Mary Lu wanted to go to Beth Ann’s house but couldn’t until CArl Ray got up she could make his bed. Mary Lou didn’t go after all because Carl Ray  woke up at noon and Beth Ann went out with her parents. Five days later after Carl Ray stayed in Mary Lou’s house he finally got a job at a hardware store on Friday, June 22. Unfortunatetly, Mr furtz got sick on Monday, June 25 and two days laeter on Wednesday, June 27, he died from a heart attack.

Tangerine by Edward Bloor

September 22, 2006

If I was Tangerine into a movie and I needed to choose background music I would choose happy music because so far in the book nothing bad is happening not until they see the  muck fires and the school which they were disappointed about and have disappointing music. Iwould choose the music because nothing bad has happened in the book so far and nothing really exciting or scary just happy. Then until they go to the school and in the neighborhoods and saw the muck fires in the neighborhoods they got really disapointed so diapointing music would be perfect for those parts in the book.
